Virtual Orientation: Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), through state and local Workforce Development Boards, provides access to education and workforce services for eligible veterans and individuals with significant barriers to employment—individuals with disabilities, out-of-school and at-risk youth, and other populations—designed to help individuals succeed in the labor market and help match employers with the skilled workers they need compete in the global economy. The WIOA Title I Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs offer an array of services designed to assist in the process of training for and attaining, life-long career opportunities in high-demand sectors.
